| The Texas Gulf Coast Council of Diving Clubs (TGCC) is comprised of dive clubs from all over Texas. TGCC promotes diving safety, cooperation between Member Clubs, and advises divers of current affairs relevant to diving. TGCC supports the Texas Artificial Reef Program, and has been instrumental in the installation of permanent mooring buoys on the Flower Gardens and Stetson Bank National Marine Sanctuaries. |
| TGCC sponsors TRASHFEST, the longest running scuba environmental clean-up in the country. Divers from "all over" gather to clean out the spring-fed Comal River in New Braunfels, followed by an awards banquet and prizes. The Council sanctions club events and contests that are open to all Council members, such as the B.A.D. Gulf Spearfishing Contest. Membership in TGCC is open to any certified diver. TGCC publishes the bi-monthly Deep Sea Digest. Back issues and calendar of events are available on the website. |
