March 31 and April 1, 2007
Reliant Center

The Houston Underwater Club invites you to explore the world of scuba diving, adventure sports, and international travel - without even leaving Houston.  For that exciting world is coming to the SEASPACE Exposition in Hall "E" at the Reliant Center, behind the Reliant Astrodome.  Scheduled March 31 and April 1, 2007, SEASPACE draws exhibitors, speakers and attendees from exotic destinations around the globe.  Stay tuned to the SEASPACE web site as plans are set for SEASPACE 2007!  If you would like to volunteer, click here to download the SEASPACE 2007 Volunteer Form!
SeaSpace is the Southwest USA's premiere Adventure Exposition.  With entertainment and education for the entire family, you are invited to explore more than 200 booths with experts on various outdoor sports and exotic travel destinations.  In its new expanded location at the Reliant Arena, SEASPACE is adding more fun to the mix with exciting adventure sports like rock climbing, kayaking, and skydiving.  A huge swimming pool in the Exhibit Hall enables visitors to bring a swimsuit and try out scuba diving, snorkeling, or kayaking.
The innovative Environmental Awareness Area will showcase groups like the Cousteau Society and the Flower Gardens National Marine Sanctuary.  The Texas State Aquarium will bring the Ocean in Motion, a mobile trailer with live animals and interactive computer technology.  As part of the ongoing SEASPACE Scholarship program, there will be a special presentation of the 2005 SEASPACE Environmental Award.
Children love SEASPACE!  The highly creative Virtual Dive takes kids aged 5-12 on a simulated dive through a coral reef environment constructed of recycled materials.  Virtual divers learn, have fun, and receive free gifts upon completing their tour.  There are a host of other children's activities that include prizes and surprises.
Our Silent Auction features dive equipment, scuba related art and trips to exotic dive locations.  All proceeds from the Silent Auction support our Scholarship Fund.
The SeaSpace 2004 Film Festival was a true first, the Houston premiere of the IMAX film “Coral Reef Adventure” which was shown in the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s IMAX Theatre.  Cinematographers Howard & Michele Hall were our special guests to offer a behind the scenes understanding of this excellent IMAX movie.
Four seminar rooms and an in-depth workshop series run simultaneously from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.  Topics range from underwater archeology to exotic travelogues of beautiful reefs and rain forests around the world.  Among the special SEASPACE 2004 presenters were Howard & Michele Hall, professional photographer Marty Snyderman, and Wetpixel founder Eric Cheng.  For a complete list of topics and speakers as they are announced for SEASPACE 2007, visit the SEASPACE web site.
